Perforated Eardrum Out Now!

You can now buy 'Perforated Eardrum' This is a zine I illustrated. The text is by Clara Heathcock. It documents the time she burst her eardrum. On doctors orders she was told not to listen to music for a month while her ear healed. The text is about music and various other things like anxiety, politics and gender refracted through music and the experience of not being able to listen to it. Each chapter relates to a particular song or artist. David Bowie, Julie ruin, Life Without Buildings and Kate Nash among others all get a look in. It was originally published without my illustrations as a series of blog posts on the site fourohfive.com.

Below is the cover plus some of the drawings from it which are currently on display at the 'Oh My Zine!' exhibition at The Bowery Gallery in Leeds. As well as the video I made a couple of weeks ago about the process behind drawing 'Perforated Eardrum'. You can buy the zine here for a tenner plus postage. 36 colour pages.
