Drawing 'Perforated Eardrum' Video.

This short video demonstrates the process behind creating the drawings for the zine 'Perforated Eardrum' made in collaboration with Clara Heathcock. I selected a different part of the text to that which I used in the original drawing for the relevant chapter in 'Perforated Eardrum' and got my friend Shane Bordas to film and edit a short video which shows me drawing the picture from start to finish.

The text this drawing responds to is the following 'It's funny, writing about music. My friend Karren is fond of the phrase ''writing about music is like trying to dance about architecture''. I've never watched a good piece of interpretive dance about architecture but I bet one exists, and I bet the moment the moment between two architects when they catch each other's eyes watching it is really something.'

The drawing I created for this video is a bit looser than those featured in the zine as it was done in one take, specifically for this video. The zine will be for sale on this site later in the week and it's currently on sale at The Bowery gallery in Leeds where some of the original drawings are also exhibited.
